Groups
At First Covenant,
we believe that life change and community happen best in a
small group. A small group is a safe place to share the struggles
of your life. It’s a place where you learn to apply
the Bible to your life, and it’s a place where you can
make friends who will encourage and support you. Loving God
and others, learning, serving, and reaching others for Christ
is the focus of our small group ministry. For more information

Life
Development Institute
The Life Development
Institute is our process for moving people from unchurched
and uncommitted to becoming mature members who fulfill their
ministry in the church and their life mission in the world.
The basis for this process is our CLASS system.
CLASS
101: Discovering Membership – this class covers
basic Christian beliefs as well as the history of First Covenant
and what is means to be a member ofGod’s family and
a member of our church family.
CLASS 201: Discovering Spiritual Maturity
– this class focuses on the four basic habits every
Christian needs to grow to spiritual maturity: Time in God's
Word, Prayer, Tithing and Fellowship.
CLASS 301: Discovering My SHAPE For Ministry
- this is the third of First Covenant’s basic classes.
The goals of this class are that one will discover his/her
unique S.H.A.P.E. for ministry and commit to developing and
using their God-given gifts and abilities in serving God and
others in the church family.
CLASS 401: Discovering My Life Mission
– this is the last class in the series and is dedicated
to helping participants discover and realize their place in
the world and in home missions.
Each CLASS is offered
in a four hour seminar format and they are held four times
each year. For the next opportunity to participate call the church office. The maximum class size is 25 and a minimum of
10 is needed to hold a class. You can sign up at church, drop
